Finding Inner Peace At Home

What do we know about India?

We know that India is a highly spiritual country where many people, from all over the world, are coming to gain spiritual enlightenment and knowledge about the mystical science of yoga. It is a place with a number of holy destinations like Varanasi (City of Lord Shiva), Rishikesh (The Birthplace of Yoga) Haridwar (The Gateway of God), Amritstar (Holy Pool of Nectar), Bodhgaya (Mahabodhi Temple) and I am sure, many others.

What else do we know about India?

We know that "one of our friends went on a yoga retreat there, with their yoga teacher or guru, from the studio they attend regularly."

Now, what do we know about Bali?

The answer - See above.

All recently popular spiritual capitals like India or Bali have one thing in common - they lure people seeking spiritual enlightenment and inner peace.

I asked several people, who attended yoga retreats or took yoga teacher training in India, how they felt after their journey, and I never received a clear answer. They looked as if they were struggling to find the right words to describe what they thought about their trip. The answer, in general, sounded like this: "Yes, it was great. We lived according to a schedule, ate healthy food, practiced yoga and attended so and so temples."

But, wait, did you get what you really came for? Did you feel the inner peace?

I did not ask these questions, because the answer might not be clear to the seekers themselves. But I asked another question to myself - Do we really need to travel to India, Bali or somewhere else far away to find enlightenment and inner peace in our life?

And my answer - No, we don't.

Inner Peace and Glowing

Each and every person on this planet is seeking happiness in life. Lost interest in materialistic matters and a raised wish to escape into wilderness or some place secluded from urban noises and rhythms, are positive signs that your soul begins its search for its True nature.

With a new trend to travel around the world and pursue the desired happiness and peace through the experiences of life, seekers forget that at one point all we need is settlement. A peaceful settlement in a place we can call home. And instead of signing up for one retreat after another, we should ask ourselves - "What do I do it for? Do I do it because I feel I don't belong to the place where I currently live, work, socialize?"

Positive answers to these questions might be an indication that you are surrounded by a group of people whose energy doesn't resonate with yours, causing you to feel disbalance and disharmony within.

Travelling to India might only temporarily relieve that feeling, and who said that on a retreat, your energy will match with the energy of other attendees?

A step towards a more permanent feeling of inner peace and enlightenment in life starts from looking deeper at who surrounds us.

On a soul level we all belong to certain soul groups. People from our designated soul group are connected with us in higher realms, which we often can feel by how easy and happy we feel next to them. These people help us to go through the life journey and support us in various situations.

In opposition, people from soul groups that are not connected with our inner world can bring us unhappiness and depression.

If we want to avoid the unpleasant company of people which cause us discomfort and make us a different person (and we might not even fully realize it), we should learn more about the Soul Groups that exist on Earth and ought to reconsider some of the relationships we are part of.

Soul Group # 1. Soulmates

This is the most significant Soul Group out of four groups. When we meet people from this group we often have a spiritual awakening and feel a deeper spiritual connection.

This group counts 3 - 9 people and these souls plays a significant part in our life. The Soulmate Group can include family members, lovers and friends.

When we meet our soulmate for the first time, we feel familiarity with that person, as we have known him/her before. This is because soulmates are connected with each other throughout several lives.

Soulmates leave a lasting impression on our life, sometimes challenging and pushing us forward. These are the people we have the strongest connection with for life.

Soul Group # 2. Soul Family

This group includes immediate family members as well as people we choose to consider our family.

Members of the Soul Family group often have a close bond and are here to learn similar lessons and experiences of life.

Regardless of what relationships we can have with our Soul Family, it is important to note that our soul chose to reincarnate with them for the reason to learn a particular lesson(s).

Soul Group # 3. Soul Community

Soul Community group include souls that share similar ideas and lessons in life. Members of this group are coming to the Earth to learn a particular lesson in a particular area. They want to bring new creative ideas and inspirations to a particular field.

Members of our Soul Community are relatives, friends, coworkers, employees and people who truly inspire us and share the same mission as we do. They can also be strangers who, for example, randomly help us when we have a bad day.

Since this group is very broad, it may count hundreds and thousands of people in it, depending on what path you chose in life.

People from the Soul Community significantly influence our life, but not on a permanent basis as people from the Soul Family Group.

Soul Group # 4. Twin Flame

When we have two bodies with the same soul energy, it is referred to as Twin Flame. To have a twin flame on Earth is a very rare phenomenon.

Twin Flames often find each other on Earth and then continue to explore matters of life together. Connection between Twin Flames is more than just romantic relationships. When these people come together, it is often for a higher cause such as to gain knowledge and wisdom.

Twin Flames can feel intensity between each other, but underneath of that is a clear understanding and a feeling that both of them are coming together for a higher purpose.

As we can see, India or Bali does not hold a special secret to inner peace and enlightenment, but we, ourselves, do! We only need to travel slightly deeper in to our inner realm to find it.
